English Readings/Requirements.

Our Ateneo essays are to be submitted to Sir Arghs on the eighth of July. To be attacked by the Grammar Nazi, of course. (The topic will be given once Ma'am Jeng gives our Ateneo application forms, or if anyone is Ateneo-obsessed enough to find out the topic for us. :p)

Reader's Theater will be from July 14-15, 2011. (Yay!) We can pick any chapter from our Iliad readings, but definitely not one book.

Home Reading List: (Not completely sure, though.)
  • Edith Hamilton's Mythology (Chapters 2, 4, 5, 11)
  • T.H. White's The Once and Future King--> available at Powerbooks Trinoma and National Q. Ave.
  • Victor Hugo's Les Miserables (not sure which translation)
  • John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men

We will also be taking up such readings as excerpts from the Iliad, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno, Machiavelli's The Prince (Hitler and the Communists love this book, hahaha.), and The Book of Job. (Not in that order.)

Please correct any mistakes/errors/stupidity put in here. Thanks so much! :)

Optional Math Homework. (Due next week.)

To be placed in the notebook.

Get the equation of the ellipeses with:
  • Eccentricity 3/5, vertices on (2,5) and (7,5).
  • One vertex on (3,2); one co-vertex on (7,1.)
Read more on applications of ellipses. Start reading on hyperbolae.

Surprise  quiz on Tuesday. This is based on the homework and examples Sir Mark gave, so study those.

Line up according to platoon at our designated 4th year area. We'll sing The National Anthem then Pilipinas Kong Mahal.

    3) Medics!

As an added requirement to your CAT, you'll be required to bring and wear your medic kit one certain days. The job of the medic is to ensure the safety of not only the people taking CAT, but helping those around them even on normal days. We, your platoon officers, will be checking out whether you bring your requirement on your specified patrolling days and in those random check ups.

    Schedule:

    Monday - Charm & Electron
    Tuesday - Gluon & Graviton
    Wednesday - Muon & Photon
    Thursday - Tau & Truth

Your section determines the day you'll be patrolling. For example, if you're from Charm, we'll be expecting you to go around campus wearing your medic kit every Monday. You have to be wearing it and if we see that you're not wearing it on your schedule day, there will be consequences. For those who aren't scheduled on a certain day, you should still bring your medic kit in case a situation arises and for surprise check ups.
